Contrary to its intended use as a Learning Management System (and perhaps contrary to expectations), Moodle can serve as such a framework for integrating a heteroclitous set of programs/functions/modules. System design used to be top-down, hierarchical, and all-encompassing. Now Moodle has the ability to have many modules that all interact in a network. This session covers the benefits of Using a Framework, as well as the benefits of using Moodle as a Framework. Examples of Application Integration Based on a Moodle Framework will be shown including: Language Lab, Scheduler, inventory management, Mobile applications, ticketing system, GEO and many more.
