PLENARY: ACCESS TO ONLINE EDUCATION

The different facets of accessibility for online learning. How to make your courses accessible for a variety of target groups.  Panel members will focus on: 
  • INDIGINOUS PEOPLES: how Moodle can support creating relational space for a diversity of perspectives – especially as this relates to addressing Indigenous methodologies. 
  • PHYSICAL:  What are the difficulties experienced while accessing Moodle and how do we best address them?
  • FINANCIAL:  What is the state of students loans in Canada for distance education students?
  • COURSE DESIGN: What are some of the tips used by instructional designers to meet access challenges?
  • OPEN CONTENT:  Some strategies that are used to open content for users.
